An Illustration Agent is the middle person between illustrators and clients so you work with the Astound artists to develop & create marketable / saleable work, make the connection between artist and client, and ensure everything works out during the project. In a nutshell, it’s a creative sales role.
We are looking for an individual to join our team as our Part-time Artist Agent for 25 hours per week.
This role is perfect for parents, as it comes with flexibility and it is fully remote – which means you can work from home, or anywhere, but we are looking for an individual based in the East Coast, or MidWestern regions of the USA. Currently, we have base offices within the US and the UK, where our teams meet casually.
We offer a comprehensive training package which covers social media marketing, artist briefing and development, project management, creative trend awareness and sales training. You will be using all of those skills and more as an Astound agent!
Expenses are paid to travel internationally. Trips may include visits to our base in London or NYC, Italy for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, etc. to attend art fairs, meet with clients, and your fellow agents.

Starting salary is $38K with OTE $50K depending on experience and after training, on a pro rata basis.
Working hours for this position are flexible and we can work around your availability. We are looking for around 25-37 hours per week hours but this may vary depending on you.
Interviews will be held on Skype on an ongoing basis.
Candidates who meet the following requirements should apply:
– An interest in art and illustration is ideal.
– Creative – a good eye.
– Good communicator, able to rebut, sell, empathize and negotiate.
– Multi-task individually or as part of a team.
– Be comfortable traveling alone and possibly over multiple weekends.
– Mac and social media savvy.
– Organised to a diagnosable level.
– Generally brilliant and making things happen on your own.
