Astound Us Trainee Artist Agent

We are looking for an individual to join our team at Astound Us as our Trainee Artist Representative / Artist Agent.
We offer a comprehensive training package which covers social media marketing, artist briefing and development, project management, creative trend awareness and sales training. You will be using all of those skills and more as an Astound agent!
This role is fully remote – which means you can work from home, or anywhere, but we are looking for an individual based in the East Coast, or MidWestern regions of the USA. Currently, we have base offices within the US and UK where our teams meet casually.

An Illustration Agent is the middle person between illustrators and clients so you work with the Astound artists to develop & create marketable / saleable work, make the connection between artist and client, and ensure everything works out during the project. There is an existing group of clients that you will look after following training, and there is a degree of new business development. In a nutshell, it’s a creative sales role.

The Trainee Artist Agent starting salary is $38K with OTE $50K depending on experience and after training.

We offer full training in a casual virtual environment. Expenses are paid to travel – World Wide, London, Italy etc. or if you need to face to face meet up. We offer a bonus scheme to prove that we reward success and hard work alongside great healthcare plans.
Working hours for this position is Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., but you have flexibility since you are no longer expected to report to a physical office.
Interviews will be held on Skype on an ongoing basis.

– Fluent speaking in English
– An interest in art and illustration that extends to formal education.
– Creative – a good eye.
– Good communicator, able to rebut, sell, empathize and negotiate.
– Multi-task individually or as part of a team.
– Be comfortable travelling alone and possibly over multiple weekends.
– Mac and social media savvy.
– Organised to a diagnosable level.
– Generally brilliant and making things happen on your own.
