Singapore Book Council – Asian Festival of Children’s Content event

Published on 04/08/2022

One of our agencies, Yeon, got to attend the Asian Festival of Children’s Content event. Last 26-29 May, the Singapore book council organized the Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) as a hybrid event. This yearly Asian-specific festival centered on children’s books, stories, and young adult books. AFCC promotes the creation and appreciation of high-quality children’s literature and aesthetics under the theme of Asia.

During the event, several book publishers, including local and international speakers, shared their thoughts on the future of publishing, discussing issues like the environment, diversity, culture, and mental well-being through the help of books.

This 4-day long event has been an enjoyable experience filled with joy and hope about the Asian book market, as well as the current publishing industry. Books have a way of giving warmth and comfort to readers — especially during this difficult period of time. Through countless stories and ideas, across different languages, books bring us together as one.

We are so blessed to have such an amazing event and looking forward to more in the years ahead!
