Last year was a wonderful year for our agencies! They worked on so many fantastic projects, from books to clothing, to tarot cards, and more. As we look ahead to 2023, we wanted to wrap up 2022 with some of the agency’s most memorable projects. It’s not easy narrowing it down, but here are Advocate Art’s EU Manager, Adolfo Sanchez’s five most memorable projects from 2022.
1. Poops and Footprints
Illustrator: Esther Hernando
Publisher: Libsa
“Two books about tracking animals in the woods. This was another fun collaboration with our illustrator Esther and the publisher Libsa. Esther has worked on many books with them in the past, and it is always a pleasure. Plus these were fun books in which children can learn a lot about animals in a fun and different way!”
Illustrator: Pedro Riquelme
Client: Educa Borrás
“This was such a wonderful project. Pedro illustrated three unique settings for these puzzles, which are gardens for children to plant seeds when assembled! Not only is this a fantastic idea, but these puzzles are also a finalist for Best Toy for a Sustainable World selected by the Spanish Toy Association.”
3. Realistic Maps for Rioja Winery, Marqués de Murrieta
Illustrator: Carlo Molinari
Client: Marqués de Murrieta
“This was one of our first projects with the winery, and the maps came out beautifully! They will be used in leaflets with information about visits to the winery, so they will be seen by a lot of people too.”
Illustrator: Julia Seal
Publisher: Gemser
“It is always a pleasure to work with Julia, and this project is important for helping children understand who they are!”
5. Coses que fer ara que faig 6 anys
Illustrator: Karen Saavedra
Publisher: Penguin Random House
“The regional government of Catalonia gives a voucher to buy books to parents of 6-year-olds, so PRH Spain created this book in Catalan just for 6-year-olds! This is one of a few projects we have done in Catalan, and the book was designed by Collaborate!”
