Advocate Art’s Amanda Hendon’s Most Memorable Project of 2022

Last year was a wonderful year for our agencies! They worked on so many fantastic projects, from books to clothing, to tarot cards, and more. As we look ahead to 2023, we wanted to wrap up 2022 with some of the agency’s most memorable projects. It’s not easy narrowing it down, but here are Advocate Art’s Global Manager, Amanda Hendon’s five most memorable projects from 2022.

1. All Moms

2. Battle of the Brains

“I am an absolute nerd when it comes to animal factoids, so loving this title was a no-brainer (haha!). David’s humorous and charming artwork brings these brain-teasing facts to life; this title is a worthy successor to its predecessor, Battle of the Butts.”

3. Mending the Moon

4. Astrology for Black Girls

Author: Jordannah Elizabeth

“Ask any of my friends, and you’ll know that I kinda sorta love astrology (Libra here!) so of course, I love the message behind this book – making astrology accessible to everyone, and in particular, young Black girls who may not know where to start. Coupled with brilliant illustrations by the amazing Chellie Carroll, this is easily one of my favorite titles I worked on this year.”

5. Troublemakers in Trousers

“History has always been by and large my favorite subject; especially unknown tidbits and figures – my friends generally call me a walking encyclopedia, so of course, I was thrilled that we were able to work on Troublemakers in Trousers! Combined with Kaja Kajfez’s informed and gorgeous artwork, owning this title is a given.”
