Advocate Art is thrilled to introduce another talented agent, Chris Herriot! Based down on the sunny south coast in Brighton, Chris’ background is in the arts, first as an actor then as a writer and producer. This led him to work as a voice over agent at TV/film production companies. During this time, he worked with celebrities on various projects for Advertising agencies and television production companies, including a World Cup Nike Commercial, High End content for Jaguar Land Rover and the Re-booted iconic Thunderbirds Are Go.
Working on projects such as these has given Chris over 5 years experience of working with advertising agencies and brands directly, which is where his passion lies. He thrives in being the conduit between the artist and the client, discovering new clients and delivering high end projects!
As our leading agent in advertising, we asked him a few questions about his role below:
Why did you become an Illustration agent?
Having been an agent previously, I missed the world of working with Artists and clients on a daily basis.
What do you love most about the role?
I love the moment of receiving a new and exciting client brief and knowing just the artists to put forward.
What do you hope to accomplish here at Advocate?
With my focus being on Agency and branding projects my dream is to see our artists work on Billboards and on television commercials.
What have you been up to recently?
Most recently I have been working on editorial projects for the Washington Post, The New Yorker and commercial projects for Pantechnicon plus an animation project for Dycem through Collaborate.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am a massive fan, so in the summer I play for a team called Firle where I am the captain. Outside of cricket I love spending time outside with my son, we go camping, fishing, kite flying etc. Being an ex actor, I also love the Theatre and going to the cinema.
