New Signed Artist: Marta Munte

Published on 21/03/2022

I was born on 1972 in Barcelona, where I still lives with my husband and our three kids. I really loved to draw as a child but when I went to school I set my drawings aside. When I turned 30 I was working as a web page designer but still thinking of my love for drawing, so I decided to left my job to dedicate myself full-time to my passion, to illustrate children books. Then, some years later, I felt in love with the world of pattern design and began to design patterns for stationnary, kids clothes and fabric. I love drawing cute, quirky and friendly characters that emphasize my fun, fresh and clean style. I find my inspiration on Scandinavian art and old tin toys. I am also a passionate about color, creating vibrant palettes with a vintage feel. A couple of years ago I took an embroidery course, and since then, on my spare time I like to embroider my own designs. I love winter, daisies and taking long beach walks near my house.
