Congratulations to Advocate Art illustrator Paul Hammond for winning silver at the 65th Society of Illustrators Exhibition!
The Society of Illustrators Annual Exhibition is the premier showcase for illustrators and animators, featuring over 400 pieces of the most outstanding works created throughout each year. Open to artists worldwide, thousands of entries are considered by a jury of professionals, which include renowned illustrators, art directors, and designers.
The original works are exhibited at the Museum of American Illustration at the Society of Illustrators. Paul’s pieces were submitted as part of the Surface/ Product Design category, which features work used on a wide variety of products and merchandise from carpets to beer cans!
His series of cans designs are part of an ongoing and exciting collaboration with Banished Brewing (Newfoundland, Canada). Paul has a strong back catalogue with the company but this series called Space Puffins is, well, out of this world! This series includes Space Puffin (the original), Space Puffling, Interplanetary Puffin, and Intergalactic Puffin. The designs were accepted into the 65th annual juried exhibition and were awarded the Silver Medal in the category of Product Design! Paul popped over to NYC the other month to raise a glass and accept the award. Congratulations!
