Presenting Astound’s New UK Logo!

Published on 09/03/2023

What makes Astound UK so successful and unique as an agency is that they are firmly planted in the UK, in Brighton and London, yet have a truly global backing behind us. With the US team and an international roster of artists, they have a panoramic view of the industry at large. Astound’s position allows them to be informed and translate trends, styles, and themes for the UK market.

Astound believes it is incredibly important to develop and nurture 1-1 connections with our artists and publishers to continually be aware of the nuances of the UK market. The connection also helps you know that there’s a human behind the email, here to support you in all their illustrative requirements.

With that in mind, Astound is proud to present to you a brand new version of the logo exclusively for the UK! Thanks to the incredible talent of the UK-based artist who created it, Patrick Corrigan! Patrick was the perfect artist for the job. The energetic characters that feature throughout Patrick’s portfolio and the wonderful vibrant colours and textures he applies embodied what Astound represents:

– They aim high, to Astound, by being the agency with the best in contemporary children’s book illustration, licensing, and commercial art.

–  They are Drawn to better and excel in everything they do: from the bespoke heART strategy to in-person presentations, project management, and the way they invoice.

– They Astound by being great at what they do with a snappy, can-do, enthusiastic, talented, and creative attitude – all at no great expense. All these things make for an Astounding outcome.

About Patrick:

Patrick Corrigan was born on a crisp, cold December day in a small, cloudy town in Cheshire, England. With a passion for precision as a child, he grew up patiently drawing and designing arts and crafts. This took him to study ceramics at University, train as an art teacher, and eventually become an Art Director at a busy design studio where he worked for nearly 10 years. Whilst there he honed his skills working on well over 500 educational and picture books for children as well as animations and branding. Patrick lives and works in the UK using Photoshop, Illustrator, and sometimes even real art equipment to create his work. He specialises in illustrating picture books for younger readers and draws best when listening to podcasts or dusty old records and drinking gallons of green tea.
